The Diamond Edit: Understanding What Makes a Stone Truly Exceptional

Beyond the Sparkle — The Science of a Perfect Diamond

A diamond is the most enduring symbol of luxury, love, and legacy. Yet not all diamonds are created equal. At Oriven Jewellery, we believe an informed buyer is an empowered one. Understanding what defines a diamond's quality transforms a purchase into a lifelong investment.

The Four Cs — The Language of Diamonds

Cut

Of all the Four Cs, cut has the greatest influence on a diamond's beauty. A masterfully cut diamond reflects light with breathtaking precision, creating that unmistakable brilliance. At Oriven, we source only Excellent and Very Good cut grades — because a diamond should command attention the moment it enters a room.

Colour

Diamond colour is graded on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The closer to D, the rarer and more valuable the stone. Our collection focuses on the D–H range, where the eye perceives a diamond as beautifully white and pure.

Clarity

Clarity refers to the presence of internal inclusions or external blemishes. A flawless diamond is extraordinarily rare. We select stones from FL (Flawless) to VS2 (Very Slightly Included) — inclusions invisible to the naked eye, preserving the stone's pristine appearance.

Carat

Carat is the measure of a diamond's weight, not its size. A well-cut 1-carat diamond will always outshine a poorly cut 1.5-carat stone. We guide every client to balance carat weight with the other three Cs for maximum beauty and value.

Lab-Grown Diamonds — The Future of Conscious Luxury

Oriven Jewellery proudly offers certified lab-grown diamonds — chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds, created with significantly less environmental impact. Lab-grown diamonds offer exceptional quality at a more accessible price point, without compromise on brilliance or beauty.

Certification

Every diamond at Oriven comes with internationally recognised certification — GIA, IGI, or equivalent — so you purchase with complete confidence and transparency.

A diamond is forever. Choose yours with knowledge, and it will speak for generations.
